Can you walk on the water without looking at the water?
We are many times in a fix as to what to focus on whenever there is a storm of life around us. The storms of life are all around us and we have to go through some thick cloud sometimes in our bid to fly higher than our present level. Do we give our attention to the storm or simply focus on God? The secret of going through all of these without allowing them going through us is the word FOCUS.
Beloved, the problem always looks big whenever God is not the focus. If you focus on God, you will lose sight of the bigness of the problem.
Can you remember Peter? He walked on water as long as his focus was on Christ.
The water did not change, Jesus did not change, but the focus of Peter changed. Whenever your focus changes, you begin to sink amidst the storms of life. The noise of the stormy sea was designed to distract the attention of Peter.
Ever heard the boisterous noise of the storm? Remember always that it is there to distract your attention and to make you lose your focus.
Jesus told Peter that generally, the subject of our focus is what determines our level of faith. Your ability to walk on the water without looking at the water is the spitua virtue called focus.
I encourage you today to focus on God. I see your problems vanishing as you fix your gaze on God.
Do you know anyone going through some difficult times? speak there same words to them. Let them know that the waters will soon pass away.
“My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise” – Psalm 57:7.
“He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.” – Psalm 112:7
It is well with you in Jesus’ name.
